Hi Evgeni, The final MapServer 8.0.0 release will likely happen tomorrow or on the weekend, and that will give the green light for me to put the final touches on the big MS4W 5.0 release. I agree that this next MS4W release is very important, and thanks for your patience through all of this.

Hi Jeff, thank you very much for this good news! I have already tested the beta version with our client framework and got everything working. Also PHP Mapscript was already running here and there were no problems with my Swig implementation. Will there be a way to use PHP Mapscript with PHP 8 f

Hi Sven, Thanks for your ongoing testing and feedback, it's appreciated. Great to hear that you have adapted well to the SWIG implementation of PHP MapScript. For Linux, you would have to compile the SWIG library from their 'master' branch. I also now have much experience with that, if you
