There was a Mute Swan at the Old Cedar Ave Bridge at 9:30 this morning. Easily
seen on the west side on the left.

At 11:00 a Virginia Rail was calling at the Old Cedar Ave Bridge near the sign
that says Weight Limit 5 tons before you cross the bridge.
Also in the area was a Northern Harrier.

I spent the morning walking through the cedars on the north side of the highway.
Song, Field and White-throated Sparrows.
Several Brown Thrashers.
Both Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglets.
Other than hearing a yellow-legs, there was nothing at the west end of the
lake. It is really low.

Some numbers of Franklin's Gulls were passing through Long Meadow Lake at the
Old Cedar Ave Bridge this afternoon.
