One of the four wood duck houses I put up this spring, has turned
into a dump nest, over a dozen eggs and no one is incubating them.
I'm wondering if I should remove the eggs, as there have been that
many for over three weeks, and possibly consider moving the box,
which is pole mounted, a
other,
I also understand that the laissez-faire attitude of not doing anything about
them, will ultimately lead to the demise of untold bird species?
Only six pair of cowbirds, only 240 compromised nests.

I observed a Red-Headed Woodpecker yesterday, on the west side of Sturgeon
Lake in Pine county.
I seldom see Red-Headed Woodpeckers anymore and thought this would be worth
reporting.
Looking for details of the site, please let me know.

chickadees show no interest in feeding on suet. Even though
the suet is a mere 2 feet from my tube feeder, where they constantly
feed. Has anyone else noticed this behavior? My assumption, is that

I'm not sure if it warrants reporting, but I saw two Gray Jays
on sunday in Pine County while hunting. The specific location is
near Sturgeon Lake. Any speculation as to what is driving them
so far south, so early in the season?

This is a bit dated, but on the 17th of October I saw a tufted titmouse in the
cemetery in Marine. The bird was feeding with a mixed group of birds in a red
cedar, near the flag pole. If anyone else has seen this individual I'd be
interested in hearing about it.
Thanks
