We live between Sylvan and Dade lakes in East Gull Lake, with a marsh on
one side--ideal habitat for Green Herons. This is the first year I recall
that we have not seen Green Herons here during the summer since we started
coming up here about 40 years ago.

barely in the Brainerd zip-code at approximately 46.375029, -94.373156.

I was just contacted by Bruce Fall, an eBird editor, requesting more details
about my sighting of two adult Whooping Cranes. He also said "The only Whooping
Cranes possible in Minnesota at this time of year would be vagrants from the
experimental Wisconsin flock; I haven't heard any other report
Hello, MN birders.
We've had about 40 Dark-eyed Juncos in our backyard in BRD for the past few
days. This morning there was a male Oregon Junco among them. I had not seen
one since living in St. Louis, MO 1981-1985. Do y'all see them with some
regularity in MN?
