It appears that a couple of Eurasian Tree Sparrows may set up shop at some
feeders in Minnesota this winter. The McLeod bird could be the same individual
from last year, whereas the Cottonwood bird has been present for a couple

This a call out to those who have seen Red Crossbills at Lebanon Hills. I’m
sitting in the parking lot alongside the Pilot Knob entrance and wondering
whether anyone has seen them in the spruces between the road and the lot. The

The gull was here this morning. Josh Watson and I along with a couple of
other birders got photos.
FYI: At about 11:40, a worker asked us to leave. We did not do anything
wrong but I think the group was getting too large. Please consider this if
you were planning on coming to see it.
