We can run the media picker sample, although it seemed to return a null image
for some reason, but when we try to put almost the same code in our app, it
crashes in the Xamarin.Mobile assembly. We checked the permissions, and the
sample does not seem to require any permissions (e.g. the camera
Thanks for the suggestion, I will keep that as an option. Though, I would
like to try the other way, replacing the home activity, and so far, I
believe I managed. I found this link:

Origianly I have a listview which lists people in my database. In the
listview you would see ID,LastName,FirstName. And when selecting one, by
using ListView_ItemClick you could find out which item was selected and do
something with that person. Well now what I want to do is two things, one is

I can reproduce this. There shouldn't have been any linker changes that
cause this. I'll investigate.
Thanks for pointing it out!

You can use the View.IsShown property [0] or see if View.WindowVisibility [1]
is ViewStates.Visible [2].

I don't need the layout, I need the code to determine which one was clicked
and identify the value of the row. What I'm needing is a checkbox on each
row for deleteing. the user will check the rows they want to delete then
click a button outside the listview which will then delete the rows
selected

Hello,
I'm bit worried about the size of my .apk. I made some tests with the
HelloWorld example in release mode with sdk linking only.
In some previous posts here and on the website (

Not quite a checkbox in a listbox - and not multi-selection - but the
favorite buttons in the Conference example apps behave a bit like
checkboxes and those apps still allow item selection - see:
