particularly annoying when that happens in general, and to see three

h::Scraper::NorthernLight 1.04 1.09
G/GL/GLENNWOOD/Scraper-2.23.tar.gz
Yup. It wants me to install Scraper 2.23 now. Still.
The easiest way is to delete all old versions from the CPAN. They're
still in the "backpan", so you don't have to clutter the CPAN up any
more
; by
installing 0.009.tar.gz. Do you really want me to do that? I don't
think so. :(
One way to cure the retrograde is to *delete* *all* *old* versions
from the CPAN. There's always the BackPAN, after all.

between 2.23 and 2.26 of Scraper, WWW::Search::Scraper::NorthernLight
went retrograde. Either release a new version of Scraper that has
an updated version of NorthernLight, or remove all versions of Scraper
prior to 2.26. Thanks.

Ugh. XML::Filter::Dispatcher::Parser went backwards
from 1.05 to 1.02 beween -0.31 and -0.46 versions of the distro.
Please release a new distro that has higher version numbers than any
prior release.

This says that even though I have Psh -- version 1.1, installed, I can
get a Psh version 1.67 by installingn psh-0.009.
Either remove psh-0.009 from the CPAN, or create a Psh module larger than 1.67 in a
new release of Psh.

problem is that it wants me to "upgrade" to 0.009 to "upgrade"
the version of "Psh" from undef to 1.0.
Please remove psh-0.009, or release a new psh-1.1 that has a Psh module.

psh-0.009.tar.gz and psh-1.0.tar.gz have "version retrograde" problems
which cause CPAN.pm to want to install first one, then the other.
Please delete the older version from CPAN, or release a new version
that supercedes them both.

where Pod::Simple::DumpAsXML goes *up* not *down*.

See PerlTraining.
SPOPS::DBI in spops-0.56 has a higher version number than
the version in spops-0.58, causing all sorts of heartburn for CPAN.pm.
Please either remove spops-0.57 and prior from the CPAN,
or release a new spops that has a version number higher than 1.90 for
SPOPS::DBI.
Thanks.

if not, I'm thinking of writing one (for a column, of course :)
to detect things like OpenFrame's releases having gone retro-version.
I hope all the data is merely in the package-details file. I'd hate
to have to open up thousands of .tar.gz files.

I didn't know there were 500,000+ search engines. Unless the "+"

Apparently, Paw 0.50 and Paw 0.52 have version number conflicts. When
Paw 0.52 is installed, CPAN.pm wants to install 0.50 to "upgrade"
Paw::Textbox
Please either remove 0.50 from the CPAN, or create 0.53 that has
upgraded versions of Paw::Textbox. Thanks.
