I would recommend trying to diagnose this issue via valgrind. Should this give
no hint, systemtap may be useful to detect GObjects leaks.

cards.

I have zero experience with this kind of modem. Still, when my modem is in
power-off state, I won’t be able to use it, unless I do use -r to restart the
modem.
At least with laptops modems…
