Greetings all,
I've been working on a home movie using Cinelerra and the time has
come for me to burn it to DVD. I rendered my film to AVI/DV and
then use luv2yuv to pipe it to mpeg2enc and mp2enc. Following that,
I use mplex to create DVDauthor compatible output and there
I run into my problem
Hi again,
I currently have a problem where my final DVD
won't play on some of my hardware players. It plays fine on software
players & my higher end hardware DVD player, but on other players
I get about the 1st second of video playing and then it freezes.
I imagine this must be a common problem
I've run into this avi limit myself. But I haven't had any luck using
quicktime/the DV exported by cinelerra with mjpegtools? Is there
a compile-time configure option I missed to enable it?

ackported features of 2.6 including the vm and
the cpu scheduler. So, enabling HT should provide some boost again.
I hope my understanding is accurate and that I'm not just spreading FUD.
But, the results of all my performace testing support my statement.

. I can't
explain it, but my disk throughput is steady and doesn't seem to pause
as much. Frame rate encoding is better too IMHO.
My system is stock RH9 with all the patches.
