I have a script to convert JPEG-files from a digital-photo-camera to
MVI-files(mpeg2) to wiew them on my settopbox(Dreambox500) using:
jpeg2yuv -v0 -f25 -n1 -Ip -j.jpg |
yuvscaler -v0 -OSIZE_720x576 2> /dev/null |
mpeg2enc -v0 -a2 -np --cbr -b1 -D8 -f3 -o .mvi
from mjpeg-tools

thank You for the fast answer, that might really be my problem, most of my
fotos come from a 3.4megapixel-camera which produces JPEGS arround 1MB
depending on the contets of the picture probably the pictures which drop out
are just too big.
Does mjpegtools contain a tool to resize

I have also already tryed without any -O infer parameter since CAP is default
but I still get the same problem. :(
Maybe the problem only shows up because I use an AMD-Athlon64-3200+-Prozessor
