Download IBM WebSphere Application Server v.1.0.
You could build something based on lavrec, set up for timelapse recording,
limited to one frame per file, and a chain that process each of the grabbed
files through lavtrans and either pnmtools or ImageMagick. Or you could try
Motion, which has such a mode.

Sorry for asking because this is in the FAQ. Taking shapshots over v4l
is no option for me, because I need too much memory.

Because I couldn't find anything about an openbsd zoran driver, I
switched to Debian stable on my server to get the Miro working. I had to
switch to kernel 2.6 before everything worked allright.
I have the Miro installed on my home server because I want to run a (low
traffic) weather cam. Now
Which DC-30, there are several types ? DC30, DC30Plus, and with 2
different kind's of Video decoder, the vpx* IC work the mse does not.
Which driver do you use ?
I have the DC30 (under Linux known as card number 3). With Linux the
card worked perfect.
If you can load the driver with modprobe
urprise).
Does anyone have some experience with the dc-30 on openbsd/*bsd?

After some failed attempts to get a dc-20 working, I want to give it a
try with a dc-30. :-)
I have a 2.6.14.2 kernel with alsa. The device is working with xawtv.
But when I try to record with lavrec it segfaults:
/usr/bin/lavrec -f a -i P -d 2 test.avi
**ERROR: [lavrec] Error initializing Audi
t;debug=3"
for example:
modprobe saa7110 debug=1
That will make much more information.
Makes absolutely no difference (see below)...is there a kernel option
for debug information that I should enable?

The SAA7185 and SAA7187 do not differ much. You only need a proper
support for that IC if you want to play back videos on the TV. That IC
is not needed for recording!
If the Quicklogic IC does not do anything for the PCI control you should
check.
I would guess that the board layout is similair

manually with the xawtv MAKEDEV.v4l script
When I try to run lavrec it says: no grabber device available. Neither

Any idea?
