Change the script to this:
cd /tmp
mkfifo stream.yuv
mkfifo audiodump.wav
mpeg2enc YOURFLAGSHERE -o blah.mpv < stream.yuv&
mp2enc YOURFLAGSHERE -o blah.mpa < audiodump.wav &
mplayer -benchmark -ao pcm -vo yuv4mpeg THEFILE
WAIT FOR COMPLETION OF
