The frame rate : should I use yuvfps 25000:1000 or 25:1 (it has to go back
onto video)

recording with lavrec stops after a while - sometimes after 2 seconds,
sometimes a bit later. With -d4 it works, but not with -d2 or -d1.

Yes it does, in the sense that lavplay doesn't crash. Instead it gives

I have been testing the new zoran driver with my DC10+ card under V4L2 (latest
patches for 2.4.20 from bytesex.org).
Everything appears to be working well, except I can't seem to capture from the
S-Video port. I try to modprobe with default_input=1 options, and use v4lctl from
xawtv to set
