than distrusting it for now. If I had a higher threat
level, I’d use an even older Thinkpad with coreboot/libreboot (not sure if
OpenBSD is compatible) and a different wireless NIC.

Hey Chris,
Running the bioctl command at the bottom will also decrypt the partition.
It’s not obvious in the FAQ. It’s at the very bottom.
With my setup, I was afraid of overwriting it, but that’s how to open it.
The method you used also works!
