After I update to -current and run X sans config as root, I lose
video signal and only a reboot brings it back. A surfeit of information
follows.

With the BIOS's compatibility mode disabled, the -current ahci0 has
trouble finding my DVD on a cold boot. Linux can see it, however.

with an Athlon XP-M processor and KM400 chipset. APM does not work,
