I have been trying to configure a HP Pavilion dv5000(5210us) laptop to connect
to a WEP network. I have tried OBSD 5.2 and CURRENT without success using WEP
but can connect with WPA --personal hotspot.
The network interfaces I have
tried are
Integrated wireless (bwi0 at pci3 dev 2 function 0
Kernel: 4.2; raidframe enabled
Samba: samba-3.0.28
Bacula: bacula-2.2.6
Network card: fxp0 at pci0 dev 14 function 0 "Intel 8255x", media: Ethernet
100baseTX full-duplex
I had a 4.0 server that was distributing files at multiple MB/s. I rebuilt my
server with 4.2 and re-installed/compiled my ap

I restored my system from backups. Everything back to expected performance.
I'll experiment more with a test system before trying my upgrade.

I just rebuilt my server from 3.9 to 4.0. I was able to get everything working
except that I can no longer see my tape library unit (HP Surestore 40x6..)
I am using the "4.0 GENERIC#1107 i386" kernel.
Here's from my dmesg:

Are you possibly wanting partial restores as well as complete? Are you
implementing this in the university environment with "lab" PCs, or is this more
for the faculty, etc. ?
I've used Bacula to backup my home PCs. For a while Bacula has support VSS
(shadow copy), so that is a major improveme
I had posted this earlier but did not have dmesg output available. I did a
default install of both 3.9 and 4.1 and saved the dmesg output.
