you are recording the 'mon' subdevice with aucat?
How exactly?
mon is for grabbing a monitor mix from the sound card, e.g. for
capturing
audio that comes from a browser or anything else (game, whatever) that
produces sound with your soundcard. Makes sense to grab that when
livestreaming.
