I think there was an update of /etc/login.conf incoming lately and by
accepting the default file I did override my settings. Let's see how
it works now...

Lately I noticed always more often that, starting Xfce,
xfvm dark template and my custom mouse size are not applied
and my station starts up skipping on them.

So I got backuppc working on openbsd7.6, though it took me a while.
