yes. you can setup sensorsd with appropriate hw.sensors to shutdown server
when charge is low.
for example i have on my w500 following sensors:
hw.sensors.acpibat0.watthour0
hw.sensors.acpibat0.watthour3
hw.sensors.acpibat0.raw1
