Hi,
I was using i386 just because the CPU is Intel and I supposed i386 was the
best option.
Following your advice I reinstalled using amd64 and now I can start a
virtual machine without errors!
# vmctl status
ID PID VCPUS MAXMEM CURMEM TTYOWNER NAME
