I have a HitPoint HCMI-5.1CH-OF which uses the cmpci chipset. I am not an audiophile type (64kbps vorbis sounds good to me) but the sound quality is particularly bad in that there is a lot of hissing in the background even though I'm listening at a nominal volume. I would be inclined to think it wa
