to trump just about any other information, especially the 'official docs'.
I've decided to stick with PATA for now, knowing that it's stable, reliable
and really not much slower than SATA for the drives I'm looking at.

support offered by the hardware, just plain-jane SATA.

product model numbers with the chipset numbers listed, but found very little
in the way of use
