The only other thing I can think of, is your use of a 104bit key instead of
a 40bit key. Try using a 5 digit nwkey and see if that works. The man page
states that the longer keys only work on some newer cards.
I'm not sure if the 'nwkey testpassword9' in the hostname.if file is correct
