Thanks for your response, I red the tty(4) manpage, and a part of the tip(1) manpage Now I know the difference between tty and cua devices. I changed the configuration to tell open3600 to use /dev/cua00 instead of /dev/tty00. Unfortunately, the problem is still the same. Marc MAURICE man
