For those of us who don't have the hardware, is there a "shipping
fund" we could donate to? I wouldn't mind chipping in to help get the
hardware where it's needed.

I use a Zonet ZEW2500P, which has a Ralink RT2570 chipset (ural). It
costs US$30 or less. Download and pkg_add the firmware mentioned in
the man page and it just works. However, while the adapter itself is
small (like flip-phone small) it requires a USB cable. It's not a

I had this problem. There are two drives in the machine, so I just
booted from a burned 42.iso CDR and put the factory pressed disc into
drive 2. Worked fine. Don't bother sending a replacement CD to me.
Keep the funds in the project!

Solutions used to make one (called BackPack) that could connect via

Windows I'm pretty sure you could boot from it.

Not worried. Actually I was just responding to post that declared
"instead of complaining about it, you would have your gear already,
like the rest of us". All pre-orders are not created equal. Now that
the USPS actually has them in hand, I anticipate my discs tomorrow or
Saturday.

Not entirely true. I've been checking the USPS Track & Confirm
website each day since October 2 when I got my tracking confirmation
via email. Until today the USPS had no record of my shipment.
Finally I have a response:

I've been informed that I was talking out of my hat, as I suspected.
KQEMU (QEMU accelerator) is a Linux kernel module and, therefore, not
an option for the OpenBSD. I'll put my hat back on my head now.

I've never used QEMU so I may be talking out my hat. Looking at the
docs for it yesterday I remember seeing something about the QEMU
accelerator. Is that an option here?

executing the guest code directly on the host CPU. A ho
