I believe Kevin Myers had shared, in an earlier post, that 6.32.4 appears to

I would do that before coming up all they way to the latest.

Each router should have a unique router ID
typically, best practice, is to take an IP Address (unique) and assign it to
the Loopback interface ( a dummy bridge interface) and use that a router id in

Unless you are explicitly logging to file, the log you are looking at is only
kept in memory, as such once the router reboots, historical log is lost.

Are you logging to file ? if yes, then they are sitting in the files section...
If not, then keep in mind that there is only so much space, and the log file in
memory will rotate..
Best way to see if the router did an actual reboot is to see the Uptime via

Let's get into the nitty gritty of things...
I am going to start backwards
1) you should have IP Address on loopback interfaces on each of the routers.
2) you should have an igrp protocol running between all of these routers so
that they can reach each other's Loopback Address (OSPF is b

I think you are being presumptuous that if someone has a 4 Byte ASN they have
to have a 64 bit community.
Standard BGP communities are defined as 32bit, using the ASN as the first part
of the community is only a BEST Practices and not a Technical Requirement.
i.e. there is nothing stopping you to
>> According to all of the documentation I've found, the first 2 bytes must be
>> the ASN of the network the community is being sent to.
A best practices recommendation... not a technical requirement

Long answer:- open the unit, remove the Flash card, hook it up to a flash card
reader on another pc, and use netinstall to reinstall the ROS ( don't
format the flash card, otherwise you will loose the license key on it ).
