I am using MHonArc 2.4.4 to archive and Excite for Webservers to index and
search. The Excite application shows the first 5 lines of each message.
Because of the archive, all the header information from MHonArc shows as
the summary, which isn't real useful to tell what the message is about.

It seems that mhonarc tried to create a lock on the archive (see below
error message from log). I can't find a .mhonarc.lck file in the
archive, so I was going to use the FORCE resource. I am wondering how to
implement this. Can I just do it from the comand line using -force. Some

I have an archive directory that has a .mhonarc.lck directory. I deleted
it, but it is recreated each time. What is the reason for this and how can
I prevent it?

I have an archive of about 500 messages that were written in the default
mode of oldest first, newest last. I know how to reverse this for future
messages, but I am wondering if there is a way to do a batch reverse on
this archive to put the newest ones first?

Thank you. That is what I needed to know. However, that reverses the mail
index, but the Thread index still remains in the same order. Is there
something else that I need to tweak.
