I have a similar problem on R9-270x and latest Mesa-git. I can check the latest
commit Mesa was built from, but honestly, I have this issue since day one (it

Is the process still alive when you ssh to the system with a hung GPU? If it
is, you could attach gdb and try to get a backtrace of a hung thread.
