Just starting down the road of eMAR...
What is the best process for this scenario?
Inpatient is scheduled for a dobutamine stress test. Pharmacy
puts the order in, but it the med is delivered and administered in
cardiovascular services (not online). What happens to the med on eMAR?
Thanks
Our pediatric unit went live this month. The pediatricians would like
an output calculation to appear in PCI based on this formula (24h
output/kg wt)/24= ml/kg/hr.
If we can get the calculation to display in the visual flowsheet, then
doc's would need to access NUR..Right now they only use PCI.
We are beginning to develop our screens for inpatient PT,OT,and ST. The
therapists would like to talk with other therapist about interventions
and workflow. Would anyone be available for conference call?

We are live on 5.5 SR3,have 5.61 in test and are anxiously awaiting the
eMAR desktop. Working on dictionaries in preparation.
Current workflow: when patient is taking non formulary item, the
pharmacy does not add this to the drug dictionary. They have a
dictionary item called NFI. They zero the d

We have completed our NUR implementation and are getting ready to train
the nursing school instructors.
How have you taught them to "co sign" their students' documentation? We
do most of our documentation in CDS and very little in notes.
Appreciate any help. Happy Holidays

We are on version 5.5 SR3 MAGIC. I just tested this and did not
encounter this issue. What version of Meditech are you on?

We are live with NUR in all areas except pedi.
We have a question on our Adult Inpatient Admission Assessment "Is
anyone hurting you (sexually, physically, emotionally)?" The answers
are Y,N or U (unable to assess at this time).
Any ideas on to do this on a pedi admission assessment? We have 1

We have the influenza and pnuemonia screenings built as a CDS, when the
patient "screens in" a requisition is printed out in the pharmacy and an
intervention of vaccine administration is placed on the process
intervention screen.

I would recommend the Navin Haffty group. They have great consultants
and are a great consulting firm to work with.
I know they have experience with NUR, I don't know about EDM.

We use Micromedex for Drug Information. Most users access it from a web
page, but we also have it accessible from the reference button on the
status board. We are pleased with the product. Let me know if you have
additional questions.

We are 5.5 sr3 Magic, live with NUR no eMAR yet.
We have an intervention "Diabetes Management" with a CDS capturing data
such as fingerstick value, who notified, insulin type/dose and other
treatments. The reference range is a label on the CDS.
We display the fingerstick value along with the ot
