[MEDITECH-L] Purging Bad Debt

I know that you can only purge accounts that have zero balances in MEDITECH. What process, if any, has anyone ever taken to get Bad Debt accounts with balances to zero so they could be purged? Did you do a selection report and then write them off using the Small Balance Write Off routine?
