We are also client server and are one of the first hospitals to migrate
from Magic to Client Server. We reboot our servers once a month which
seems to work well for us. Have never had to reboot more frequently
than that. Downtime is usually around 1.5 hours.

The assessment is actually attached to the drug. At our hospital, we
added several more queries, including the location of the pain, and one
that asked if the pain should be re-assessed. This has a yes/no query
with a comment. If the nurse answers Yes, they enter the time to
re-assess
Because our extended care facility has a separate provider number, we discharge
the patient from the extended care facility when they are transferred to an
acute care unit. All orders and meds are discontinued and must be re-ordered
