Is mysql_upgrade meant to facilitate a migration from auth_socket.so to
MariaDB’s unix_socket.so?
I just tried to upgrade 5.7 to 10.2 and found root@localhost (which was
set up to use MySQL auth_socket.so) was no longer able to connect because
