Would they? I suspect many would just need a little precision hammering (like
for elongating gold into gold leaf), some more than others.

there's one case where SPF +all is valid. That's when you already have DKIM
anyway, and in any event, only if mail from your domain can validly come from
anywhere.
The only time this'd be an issue is if you had MUAs sending directly, which
mostly doesn't exist anymore, much to my chagrin (afaik
Likely that ULA has to send email from that host inside their network?

I received one of these bad girls to my Nightmare Mail (fork of notqmail),
albeit with a different argument to the attempted wget command (which was never
processed, though my mailserver was able to successfully make delivery of this
technically non-compliant message). It seems to my friends to
it's also a mistake that makes a lot of sense in the historical context of the
email network - DSNs against misconfigured or unpatched email servers were
often used for backscatter spam (which was thankfully prevented here by
rejection during SMTP), so it made sense to treat them as regular mess
A Russian government agency tasked with implementing the block could run a 5xx
responder on port 25 if it had the IPs directed at it.

Hey Jaroslaw, may I message you off-list and from a third email address with a
permissive ingress policy? I noticed something that might be salient in your
email headers.

you know, Mr Allard, it appears that you sent this message to the list at least
5 times...

I'll admit, I think it took me a bit to comprehend offline mode, back when I was
like 6 or 7.
I feel like having a box like this one I've just drawn you pop up every time you
enqueue a message to send while under offline
The 1st NDR (we will be trying for the next N days) can come in around half an
hour of no delivery. Electronic mail has a delay even when it's working
properly. That's why it's not called instant messaging. I generally expect
around a 5 to 10 minute delay on messages. I have the naïve user mindset

get around SMTP blocks, part of it is to, as I said, entertain
nostalgia. I don't really know. I guess I am fond of bangpaths.

Well I am using it over the internet. And it's strictly for nostalgia's
sake, as well as future expansion to utilitarian uses where email has to
be sent from a host on a dynamic IP.
