In the latest test release I've changed how the “Manually”
schedule works: Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the
Software Update preferences pane to try it out.
Looking good - MM now starts and syncs the important bits quickly
after the laptop is powered up or MM restarted.

'manually', leave inbox as 'connected' and set one or two important
labels (updated with gmail rules) to 10 minut
