It seems to me that one should be able to move a message to another
mailbox while viewing that message in a separate window. Alas, this is
not currently possible for reasons which are unclear to me.

Well, for some cases that could work. But for some emails I like to
send them early in the morning so that it appears as one of the first

If I understand correctly then it should be sufficient if you have
listed your email addresses in the IMAP account settings. If that

I am using MailMate with two email addresses--a private one and a public
one. I'm subscribed to this list with my public address. When I compose
a new message to the list (like this one), MailMate automatically
switches the "From" popup to my public address. Good.
But when I reply to a mailing

I did. Since I don't really use this feature then it would be nice if
you (and others) tried it out. Hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check

Excellent. Using it now.

Benny Kjær Nielsen (27.11.2013) :
Good point. Yes, it's actually still HTML (for display purposes), but
if MailMate is not even able to parse that then I would consider it a
bug.

You raise all good points, I think, but this part probably bothers me

Benny Kjær Nielsen (26.11.2013) :
Well, more like a less-than-optimal feature. When you select text in
the message view then MailMate has to “convert” the selected part
of the HTML to plain text. This does not work well for all messages
(depending on the sending email client). When replying wi

Is a thread where every reply is consistently top-posted any less
difficult to follow? :-)
It hurts my brain about as much, now that you mention it.

Interesting that in the Preferences of MM, this change doesn't portray
itself in a new Reply.
I think the setting you are looking for is Signatures > "Default

What would SmartyPants do that can’t be accomplished right now using

There's no SmartyPants processing in the Markdown handler, is there?
Is there a pref I missed?
If not, I think that would be an ideal addition.
I think it would be great, too.
