I observed that the duplicates were not exact duplicates but that one of
them has a number of additional header fields that Microsoft stuck on.
These begin "X-Ms-Exchange-".

For those who want to keep their attachments folder pruned of cached
downloads, you can consider a utility like Hazel from
www.noodlesoft.com. I use it to keep only the last 3 months worth of
downloaded attachments. Much narrower time windows are possible too.
