The most common format for time machine backups is mac os extended. To set up
a time machine backups go to system preferences then go to time machine then
time machine preferences then select select back up disk then choose a disk
if you have multiple disk then choose add and remove disks
The only app I see is Xcode for mac.

First to show the hard drive on the desktop go to finder preferences by

apple menu with vo shift m then press you're left arrow key to move to the
help menu then open the help center then interact with the table with vo shift
down arrow then vo right arrow until you find key board shor

To get to the from menu just tab to it then you can press space to open the
menu and choose the account you want to send from. If the iCloud account is not
appearing in the from menu you probably didn't set up iCloud when you first set
up you're mac.
