Hi,
I was thinking of a splurge at the apple store and get myself a new
nano.
What's the word on that? Is it actually a voice over integrated into
the core or a lip-synch affair? In that i mean are the menu and song
titles a pre-record from itunes when synching? If they crammed a video

Hi Les,
To access your applications folder, press command shift A, then go
down to text edit, then open it.
To place it in the dock, press VO D as in control option D, then find
the open text edit icon. once there, just press the down arrow and a
contextual menu will come up, from which yo
Hi Mackers andslackers,
I just installed Snow leopard through an upgrade process, and i have
to say it was quick and easy. When getting into SL, nothing was
bugging in terms of old apps. or maybe all the apps i use are
compatible.
I do have a problem when writing mails, as in not all the k
Hi,

Hi everyone,
Just been playing around with the gesture commander. I meant the
multitrack commander. No, wait, trackpad commander :)
The rotor stuff is very sensitive, as the default command rotate
actions are to turn the volume down.
To keep it in the audio context, anyone say track scrubbi
Hi everyone,
There's a few changes in Snow Leopard, and i've sort of gotten all the
custom verbosity i want. Fun stuff.
I wanted to know though, is the inability to automatically read new
messages through the VO J command due to one unchecking the
automatically read webpage when loaded fea
Hey everyone,
Scratch the bug about the vo going all overthe place. I found out that
i inadvertently switched the quick menu on.
As a matter of fact, besides reading and the web, i see less of a use
with it, or less potential than all that multitrack experience i'm
going through.

Hi guys,
Someone has posted about double speaking in syrinx, but i didn't have
snow leopard at that time and thought it was for both old and new
platforms.
Can someone orient me to the right paremeter to get rid of that?
Thanks, and best

Hi, just press control and make a counter clockwise rotation with your
thumb and index. if you want to turn it back on, do the opposite.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any of you felt any change when booting SL with 64
bit. I can feel a slight increase in performance with sl in default
mode, and strangely, voice over gets better and better as i use the
computer, in terms of lag after hitting a key. go figure why.
I wanted

Hi everyone,
Went out for lunch and got myself a nano. This is after having heard
about it through the threads in this group, so i guess will start
playing around with it after work :)
Is there anything i shouldn't do, or perhaps something important i
should?
The actual thing i wonder abo
Hi everyone,
Just took the nano out of its box, and i'm worried for a lot of things
that might happen to it. It scratches against my keys, it slips
through my big hands, it flies through the room when i take the
earbuds out, and a lot of other unexpecteds. Does anyone else feel
like i do
Hi, thanks for the response.
I don't get why though the voice over menu options to speak more than
just artists and playlists is dimmed. Is it because i told itunes to
manually manage the music and rest?

Hi,
For the first question i can't be sure, but there are commands to get
into processes.
As for the limitations of applescript, since there is a large library
of commands, and this being object oriented, you can display or list
various objects within objects, their elements and properties

Hi everyone,
I got home yesterday and decided to fully test the nano, and i'm quite
pleased by the experience, apart from the fear of loosing this thing
when i wear slacks or office pants.
I included the bruno infovox voice as my nano navigator, and funny
enough, i played a few song from t
Salut Jp,
I have recently switched to the mac, and i can tell you that i am glad
for having done it on many fronts.
First, VO, especially in Snow Leopard, is contextual, meaning that the
way you navigate is very close to a graphic based navigation. Voice
over tells you where you are on a w
Hi Kevin,
It's a solution i hope they will implement for the audio multi track
programs. Since it is already used for volume setting ( command
rotor), and the volume goes up and down by increments, i don't see why
they couldn't do it for other functions.

Hi all,
I've listened to the stereotypically high nose sounding reviewer of
the iphone on BBC, and there are two things i've noticed:
-He praises the web very much, and his experience is to that level
because he is low vision, not totally blind.
-He also congratulates Apple's efforts for a t
Hi Claude,
Good to know there are other froggs in this list.
I've been on the mac boat for a bit over 2 months now, and i don't
think i will boot up windows for a while, at least until they make win
screenreaders more intuitive and add the multitrack pad. Just can't
praise this enough.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the piece of info on accessible/non accessible features in
Garage Band.
As i said earlier on this list, i believe using certain trackpad
gestures such as rotor movements for placing and moving track loops
would be a very intuitive way to edit for visual impaired ind
