I use a couple of apps for basketball right now. One is college Hoops and the
other is pro radio. I spent 99 cents for each and they have schedules and
channel options for games. Tune In and OOTunes are both great radio apps.

This is more of an FYI for everyone. I have an Epson Printer/copier/scanner I
downloaded the Epson app for the Iphone and have been able to operate the
printer using the app. This has really been good for creating PDF documents and
sending them out attached in E-mails with signatures and all.
My brother was telling me about a program called spotify. It is used to listen
to music of all types. Instead of buying music, you just search for an artist
and you can listen from your computer as much as you like. I downloaded the
application for the Mac but it doesn't seem to be accessible. D

To use a sleep timer with the application BARD you must use the clock and have
the time set to stop playing after a given amount of time. Mine is not working

vinux is pretty awesome. It is the ready orca (speech on) version of linux. I
haven't tried the vmx option yet as I just got the ubuntu and vinux up and
running the other day.
Warning though, the volume on the base install is very low. It works great

You can use the network utility application to see your network settings. I
believe you can make some changes using this tool as well. It is in the
utilities folder. When I hooked up my mac to the ethernet, I turned off the
airport mode for network. It is easy to turn on or turn off.

Actually before I bought one, I downloaded the podcasts that Mike Arrigo did on
the use of the mac with voice over. His first couple of podcasts were a great
place to start. Then once I got the Mac, I joined this list and its been smooth
sailing ever since.

I usually turn on long headers by using command-shift-H and then VO-LeftArrow
to the header to look at the e-mail address. There might be an easier way but
thats how I've done it so far.
