Hello,
I am having trouble accessing my home network on a Windows XP virtual machine,
via Airport. I would be most grateful for any suggestions as to what the
problem might be and how to solve it.

Hello all,
I would like to start using Numbers as my spreadsheet app. Can anyone on this
list point me to a quick start tutorial on the VO commands for Numbers?
Thanks very much.

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone besides me has noticed a difference between how Preview

certain PDF files are read just fine by Preview in Tiger, but not so well on a

Hello,
Has anyone noticed that VoiceOver reads certain pdf files opened in Preview
perfectly well when the computer is running Tiger, whereas VO does not read the
very same files very well at all on computers running Snow Leopard?

Hello,
Does anyone on this list have a copy of OS 10.5 (Leopard) for the PowerPC,
that they might want to get rid of? I want to upgrade the operating system on
an old iBook G4, and I believe 10.5 is the last version of the Mac OS that
Apple released for PowerPC machines.
Thank you.

I also would be very interested to know if Blackboard can be accessed with
Safari. Angel, another online course management system, is not accessible with

I used to use Outspoken with Mac OS9. It was more intuitive than VO, in my
opinion, but it also didn't give you as much accessibility as VO does (e.g.,
you couldn't navigate by paragraph vs. sentence with Outspoken).
That said, I wish Outspoken were still available. There are many APPs that are
As I see it, the fact that VO only works with applications created in Objective

don't appreciate Apples commitment to providing a free screen reader, but I do

Have you tried interacting with the text? You should be able to read by line,

using the lef- and right-arrow keys.

Hello all,
I've been reading a bit about two scanner/OCR apps for the iPhone: saytext and
prizmo. Neither sounds sufficiently well developed to meet the needs of totally
blind individuals at this time, but perhaps I'm underestimating their utility.
Has anyone on this list tried either product,
practice before you can get decent results.
