word processing beyond MS Word

2022-06-22 Thread Andrew Leland
Here’s another question for the group: One of the main reasons I’m considering abandoning MacOS for Windows is that I have to send and receive MS Word docs, often with track changes and comments. I primarily work in Scrivener and export to Word, but I can’t give up word entirely because I need

Hi there, All the live-long day, I am inadvertently turning quick nav on and off. This happens when I press only one arrow key. It happens often while writing: I'll arrow over to a word earlier in a sentence, and then suddenly quick nav will be on, or the cursor will behave erratically, and I'll

Hi Chuck, I’ve been using Voice Dream Reader, which imports many formats including PDF and saves your place. Also handy features like making it easy to add bookmarks to untagged pdfs, navigate by heading for structured docs like epub or DAISY, etc. It’s not free and copying text is 1000 percent

Dear Anders, I appreciate your candor here. Early this year, I bounced back to the Mac after a few years on Windows/NVDA, and while I don’t rely on braille (I’m a low-vision user of magnification+speech), I do try to keep my Mantis connected to my Mac most days as a way of keeping my braille ski
