I have VO set to change pitch to announce capital letters. Ever since
upgrading to Sonoma, the pitch change is way to large - every time VO reads a
capital letter, my speech sounds like a person who’s inhaled helium being

You could also turn off the pitch changes and re-enable them selectively in situations in which you need them. VoiceOver Activities may help with it.I use the Braille display when editing text, so the problem doesn’t arise, but everyone has different use cases, of course. From: macvisionaries@googl
That’s a great suggestion, but it’s probably easier to just learn to live with
it. :). Sometimes I do use a braille display, but when doing something short,
such as writing an email like this, I just rely on speech.
