How to Get Siri to Read Web Articles on iPhone in iOS 17

Until iOS 16, you have to use the Speak Screen feature to make Siri read
text on your iPhone. Interestingly, iOS 17 brings some super-cool features,
including a brand-new way
Really? I don’t even get a haptic.
I’ve written to accessibility. A haptic is only helpful if your phone is on
your person. Besides, if it can play a sound when bluetooth is connected, then
it can play a sound when it isn’t.

Mark,
Write to accessibility. As we all know that doesn’t necessarily accomplish
anything, but it also doesn’t hurt.

Hi!
Sounds strange as I can hear it without AirPods or other stuff.
Bluetooth is on and I am sure I hear it.
No halucinations yet.

It still doesn’t make sense that we’re not all experiencing the same thing.
Some of us get the Siri sound, many of us don’t, you apparently get a haptic, I
don’t, and so on. I still say write to accessibility. If that is the way Siri
now works, it was a dumb change. (No offense.) 😊

Just use Zoom on the Mac? Then you do everything in one device. If you need
volume control for Zoom, I recommend Soundsource from Rogue Amoeba.

Hi Running iOS 17.0.3 on both my iPhone 15 and my Ipad and both are silent.
While this is a change by apple this would be nice to have an option to have
audio feedback or not. I have no problems with this.

Hi Donna,
Well, this is getting rather interesting. After I announce that I was receiving
sounds, I stopped getting them. Now I receive haptic feedback when I press the
side button and the sound upon completion of my dictation. I can live with
this. I just don’t know why it seems to change, and
