Updating to the latest Microsoft Word version from Office 365 probably won’t
address all of your concerns, but it may eliminate the worst of them, if you’ve
been using an outdated version. I would also recommend Mac OS Monterey with
everything up to date.

There is a person on the Lynx developers list who uses the homebrew
editions for accessibility testing, at least they did for the Toronto
public library.
Personally wish those at the w3c did the same.
