Hi Yuma,
I agree with you. I’ve learned to live with the touch bar, but after four
years, I still am not a fan. I’m about to buy one of the new Macs, and I’ve
decided to get a MacBook Air precisely because I want function keys and not a
touch bar.

I use tesseract from the CLI for OCR.
For a scanner I use an Epson Perfection 1640SU I’ve had for 20 years. It works
pretty seamlessly with ImageCapture.

Hi, I’m using a MacBook Air 2020. I’ll download 11.3 and see if that makes a

If you’re talking Mac OS, then the best OCR is likely the most expensive —
Docuscan +. Scanners themselves will vary, but you should get one with both ADF
and a flatbed for books.

Hello,
yes, Docu Scan Plus ist really the best solution. I like it very much.
What‘s also quite good is Exact Scan Pro. I‘m not sure whether you have it in
the US but it’s abailable in Germany on their web side. Vuescan is another
alternative. But last time I used it it didn‘t support layout d

“Best” is a very subjective term.
I suggest you check out FreshBooks.com. It is a web-based subscription
accounting/invoicing service that is accessible using VoiceOver on both iOS and
Mac. It has been a while since I’ve used the service, but if I remember
correctly, I think there is an iOS ap

Hi,
Just thought I’d update you all on my braille layout pane problem..
For a time now, the layout pane in the braille section of the vo utility was
not showing up. I’d click on the layout tab and nothing would happen. The
type of display was showing up, though, and I could pick things like t

Does anyone know of a smart lock that works with HomeKit on voiceover? My
husband and I just tried to install the August lock. It was expensive it was a
pain in the***, and it still doesn’t work. So, looking for other alternatives.
Thanks,
Donna

have this and have never had any issues with it.
I was a bit confused by the installation process, but once I had it installed
it made sense to me. It was pretty easy.
My August lock is probably three or four years
My husband spent the entire afternoon trying to get it installed, and finally
gave up.
