Decreasing the verbosity of VO during Zoom Meetings

We have a student using zoom on the mac to attend a lot of different online conferences. He stays muted unless he wants to speak then he holds down the spacebar and speaks and releases it when he is finished talking. The issue which arises is VO gives the announcement abouted being unmuted and has
