Hi!
There’s audio settings in the system prefs.
But this controls audio for the hole system.
Can the aplication set its own audio output?

Aha! That might help me too.
I have to check apps to see what apps has access to what?
Thanks Petrus for that.

I figured it out.
I didn’t even think to check the menu bar which is where there is a drop down
for audio. There you can set the audio device to headphones or speakers. Worked
like a charm.
Thanks,

Hello,
On my work computer, I recently changed my AD Password which then caused JAMF
to change my login and keychain passwords. But for some reason, the password
associated with File Vault at boot did not change. In the past, I had changed

Everything you want is in Settings, iTunes & App Store. If you don’t want apps

This sounds like a combination of a Jamf Policy and user integration. When

Ramy, now that I understand, it’s really not disturbing to me, especially after

This option can be found by holding down, VO + CMD + SHIFT, then + Left or

So how do you turn off the automatic language? Couldn’t find it where the
language was.

If you perform the below instructions, using the down-arrow instead of up will
take you past the automatic language suggestion and land on other voices like
Alex or Victoria or Samantha or whoever you want. At least, that’s what
happened to me. Also, it may take a couple of seconds for VO to loa
Hi,
To enable, press VO-cmd-shift-left or right until you hear “Voice”, keep those
keys pressed, then use the up or down arrow until you hear “Automatically
Select”, then release. To disable, do the same to get to the Voice option then
choose your preferred voice.

Hi,
If enabled, it should remain using the Alex voice, or whatever voice you were
originally using but add the voice change when it comes upon a different
language.

I read Tim’s instructions but it’s not made any difference. I land on that
option and voice over does nothing when I press the space bar.

Hi,
You shouldn’t really notice any change unless you land on text that is in a
different language. If VO figures out the that it is French, or Spanish etc,
it should change accordingly for pronouncing that, or those, words. It will
remain speaking Alex the rest of the time.

Hi,
It’s not necessarily working for me as described at the moment either. I’ll
check into things in more detail a little later. I’ve got some other
priorities going on right now.

Hi Ramy,
Cool, thanks for that. I know what the Arabic characters are saying now, at

Sorry, can’t help you with that as I don’t find it a bother at all. In fact I
think it was rather thoughtful of Ramy to translate his name into English for
our benefit.

Hi,
On your iPhone, go into Settings, Phone, and double-tap on item that reads
“Calls on other devices, When Nearby”. A new screen should open and list the
devices that you can enable/disable. Make sure that the Mac is enabled. It
will read something like, “Marie’s Mac, On”.

I’m pretty sure that I’ve done this before with the stock Archive Utility. It

the size of the zip files, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t
