The Mac mini requires that you have a monitor connected to it in order for it to work. If you either don’t have a monitor, or don’t want to use one, you can use a DVI to HDMI adapter to fool the Mac mini into thinking a monitor is connected. These adapters used to be included with a Mac mini,

Alsa, a slite correction, you do not need to connect a monitor. I am using a mac mini 2018 just fine without one. As for a usb keyboard, yes you should be fine. The windows key is your command key and your ault key is your opsion key. Outside of that, it will work. Matthew Sent from Mail
