Hi! I have created a bootable usb stick with Hi sierra as i have to do a clean install. The problem is that its not in the startdisk selection when i go to system prefs and start disk. I think i have made a mistake by formatting it to Mac os extended journal. I am not sure if this matters or not.

Hi Anders, You cannot simply copy the installer over to the USB stick when creating this via Terminal. What you need to do is: 1. Use a minimum 8 GB USB stick. 2. Format the USB stick to MacOS Extended (Journaled) and make sure it is named "Untitled". 3. Make sure that the High Sierra insta

That's not the way to create a bootable USB device, You need about 7gig for high sierra Terminal for the command to create the bootable USB, And the installer file (file name.app) from within the download package. The usb needs to be mac os extended journaled And GUID But the terminal command
