Well the cheepest 1 tb drive is $649 and I think that was one that they opened to test. I am speaking for the late 2013 model and later. The 2012 Macbook pro could use the older ssd and they are a lot cheeper. The Cheepest 500 gb ssd goes for 379 and I think that is a drive they tested as well Bran
